A blessed New Year to all!
Wonder what everyone's doing back home? There were fireworks and loud shouts (of exhilaration, hopefully) late last night, which caused Scottie to bark non-stop. Cheng Ann had to go out to the yard to calm him down. The only other time I've noticed him bark is when a bird flies into his territory.
Beth and Daddy are off to the beach this evening. Me - I'll just be putting my feet up at home, and maybe starting on another crime novel (reading, not writing). Just finished Colin Dexter's Inspector Morse novel, The Daughters of Cain. Interesting. Full of literary references.
Yesterday, we had a visitor from church - Alison Waters, mummy to Daniel (4) - Beth's fave playmate; Rebecca (7) and Emma (17). She called to find out if our things have arrived and drove over with a portable cot for Baby. She even set it up for us! We had a good time chatting while Beth took Daniel's hand (aww, so sweet!) and they went off to look at her 11 library books and (we later discovered) bounce up and down the sofa.
