How's Jordanne Doing?

As I'm blogging, J is lying in her stroller, staring open-mouthed and wide-eyed at the leftover Christmas decorations hanging from the ceiling. Well, she probably can't see THAT far yet, but she is showing great interest in her surroundings. She flails her little arms as if she's doing a vigorous front crawl, enjoys napping with one arm up, and occasionally strikes a pensive pose with one fist below her chin, deep in thought like a philosopher.

That's when she's in a placid mood.

If she's hungry and Mummy's taking too long to unveil the goodies, she makes angry little "leh! leh!" noises that increase in volume till they become a full-blown tirade with purple face and vibrating tonsils. A scary sight :p

Am not sure if it's because I'm more relaxed with J being the 2nd child, but I feel like I'm enjoying her more despite the neverending routine of feeding and changing and soothing. We cuddle a lot and I discovered she enjoys being held like a koala so she can snuggle into the depths of my neck. Sometimes, she even falls asleep while held in that manner, which is so lovely.

She's just under 3 weeks but really strong. She does mini push-ups against my chest to lift herself up and look around. When I hold her upright, she bounces her feet off my tummy.

She enjoys a warm bath and kicks her little legs when she's in the basin.

Right now, she's got her head turned sideways and appears to be talking to the side of the stroller.

Maybe not. She's ROOTING. Again. Gotta go.
