The Mobile, Mischievous Munchkin on the Move

That pretty much describes J.

It's a good day if she has 2 naps. She is such a light sleeper that laying her down requires the utmost skill and concentration. One false move and I'm done for the next 2 hours.

When she's awake and discovers she's alone, she crawls out of her room to see where everyone else is...

...to see what exotic new things she can find (especially Big 姐姐's artwork)

...and stuff in her mouth.

Every now and then, Beth will be heard going, "No, baby, no no no no NO!"

That means J is up to mischief again.

J enjoys hanging out under the dining table or sitting on my lap when I'm on the PC.

Or in the lounge with Big 姐姐 watching Barney and Hi5.

If she sees me walking by, she makes little whiny "I want Mummy!" sounds and starts crawling towards me really quickly, then grabs my leg, hoists herself to standing position, and gleefully keeps herself upright...and keeps me immobilised for the next 10 minutes.

She has also become quite chatty, babbling away in a variety of squeals, angry noises and protests (depending on her mood), that sound like "beh", "bear", "ba", "ah", "ja" and "da".

If I take too long with the next spoonful of her meal, she wails "Aiyaahh!".
She's a master at looking pitiful, with red face and tears and mucus streaming down.

She loves kiwi, apple, banana, carrot, pumpkin, potato and porridge with anything in it (even garlic and onion).

She had her first carrot stick this evening and was happy to gnaw on it for a while, then she got bored and quietly dropped it from her high chair. That was after stealing a fistful of bread off Big 姐姐's Nutella sandwich and amusing herself by breaking off bits and dropping the crumbs on the newly-vacuumed floor.

She is learning to drink from a sippy cup, and we recently invested in one with an adjustable flow so she won't choke.

She still wakes every 2 hours at night for feeds. I'm wondering how long this will last. Am feeling very sleep-deprived...
