A Good Morning

Here's what qualifies as a "good morning".

It's 11.15 am.

(PS. Daylight Savings has started, by the way, so we're now 3 hours ahead of Singapore time.)

J has just had a feed and is watching Bob The Builder. She picked it off the CD shelf herself.

Lunch has been cooked (fish porridge with grated carrot, garlic and onion).

After dropping Beth off at school, I went to Big W and got 2 of those 30L storage boxes (red with a red/black snap lid, to match our outdoor colour scheme). They're on discount at 2 for $20. Felt very pleased with self as I returned to car, one hand pushing stroller, the other balancing my new purchases.

When we got home, I went out to the backyard and got busy. While J enjoyed herself doodling all over Big Jie Jie's whiteboard, I unearthed CA's car accessories and the extension wires for our fairy lights from their worn cardboard cartons, and transferred them into the new storage boxes.

Also emptied all our recyclables into the wheelie bin. That meant 4 trips back and forth. J refused to be put down, so I could only carry whatever I could manage with one arm while holding her with the other.

How good it feels when the house is decluttered, even if it's just one box at a time.

I feel so accomplished today.
