Find Your House In The Dark

Here's an asethetic and eco-friendly way to find your house after dark: a solar powered house number that charges during the day, switches on automatically at dusk and switches off automatically at dawn.

This snazzy invention is the brainchild of Victorian artist Zelman Lew.

Prices start at A$18.50.

A boon now that the days are getting shorter.

Our friend Annie was just commenting on how dark the streets in our neighbourhood are.

It's a fact of life in the suburbs: unless you have access to a car, be prepared to grope your way home from the bus stop. Street lighting is a scarce commodity in these parts.

Wonder if it's like this too in the middle ring suburbs?
