I love this interview I read in the Sunday Age magazine about the Rees family.
This guy gave up his job when the first child arrived, because his wife was a CEO making 3 times what he was making.
The kids are now 6 and 2.
Here's what the hubby had to say about being a stay-home dad:
"If you are comfortable in the role - which I am - there shouldn't be that feeling of resentment but nevertheless, it's time I contributed in another way.
You've got your old T-shirt and your tired, bedraggled parent face on, your hair is wild and your life is gone.
You see a peer in a smart suit and car and there you are, looking like a washerwoman.
It's fine to be a pioneer of a growing trend but now I need to regain some financial independence."
Well said, Richard! If I ever run into you on the street, I'll give you a high five and tell you "Good on ya, mate!"
