It's wonderful to have the kids back at school.
The elder started Middle School this year and looks so grown-up in her blazer. (I will have to get into ninja mode cos she won't let me take a still of her in school attire.)
The younger happily reported that her best buddies are in her class. Over dinner, she gave thanks for her new teacher and new friends.
Me, I felt a bit lost. The younger one didn't seem to need my help settling into her new environment. And I had trouble figuring out which class the elder had been allocated to. Then I met S, a school mum who was incredibly kind to me in our first year at the school. Last year, we didn't meet much because she did school pick-ups and drop-offs via the drop-off zone. I remember thinking the feeling was mutual when one of us (can't remember who) said it was so good to see the other.
Spent the morning chasing up paperwork for our new IP in Gladstone and organizing coffee chats with contacts.
Looking forward to a productive week.
