At the village grocer's, we bagged a heap of gloriously, uniformly red tomatoes - the kind you want to pop into your mouth straightaway - and fresh green bok choy. Such a nice change from the produce at Safeway/Sims, which can be of somewhat erratic quality (not to mention hideously ex sometimes).
We were there primarily to get a feel of the neighbourhood and to see how the houses compare with the ones here. The ones we saw around the town centre were mostly charming (old) weatherboard cottages with tiny front gardens. Occasionally, a pair of new, modern townhouses (the kind with all the mod cons) would pop up in the middle of the row, with a conspicuous For Sale sign on the fence.
According to RPData, median house prices for Yarraville and Seddon are $500K and $493K respectively.
We couldn't resist dropping by Sanctuary Lakes, Point Cook, on our way home. Just practising some visualization of our future dream home, haha.

Imagine waking up and looking out the window at the lake. Gorgeous, no?
