J has learnt to sit up by herself!
We noticed it for the first time yesterday, when I walked into her room and there she was, sitting upright in her cot and looking very pleased with herself.
Her crawling skills have also gone up a notch. She can swivel around and change direction really fast. Last night, when CA placed her in the middle of Beth's bed, she crawled and lunged in a straight line right to the edge, hung over the side and made a grab for the carpet. It was almost like watching someone do the butterfly stroke in a competition. A truly Olympian effort. :)
We've set up a play area in the dining room so I can keep a watchful eye on her when I'm cooking or working on the computer.
