It hasn't been this warm outdoors for a long long time.
Where the sun is, there the Aussies will be.
Aussies are desperate for the sunshine. There's even a term for feeling more mopey than you usually do; it's called the winter blues.
The merest hint of good weather and off come the layers and the woolly coats.
Beth's class abandoned the usual corridor line-up and congregated in the playground first thing in the morning.
J and I walked to the Plaza just now - how good it feels to have balmy wind in your face instead of the winter wind that freezes your ears off - and I got stared at, because I had on my windcheater.
Everyone's outdoors in T-shirts and tank tops and showing their legs, the women especially.
Me hubby thinks I haven't been exercising enough. My excuse has been that it's too cold to do anything... except stay indoors.
Now that Spring's properly arrived, that excuse won't cut it.
And I guess we'll save us some petrol dollars if I walk instead of drive.
Beth - you've been warned! ;-)
