Two workshops completed, one to go

Presented my Goal Setting Secrets workshop yesterday.

Six people turned up: 3 from school, 2 from church and the founder of Miss B's music school.

What I did well
Presented without looking at my notes (except for when the attendees were hard at work on their exercises ... that's when I took the opportunity to glance quickly at where I was up to in the handout).
Effectively used the HTRSW format of Why-What-How-What If to structure the presentation.
Engaged a lot more with the attendees using clarification, validation, repetition, expanding skills.
Spoke from my heart and used stories from my own experiences.
Better seating arrangement (thanks to MH for her suggestion).
Mid-session break.

What I can do better at
Make sure the handout I use is the same as the one attendees use so I can refer them to the right slide on the right page.
A stronger close.
Work on having products and programs that I can effortlessly upsell.
Play suitable music while they are doing their written exercises and reflections.
One thing I forgot - to share with them my new inspired definition of GOALS! Ah well, next time...

What I LOVED
The energy in the room.
The look on people's faces which tells you that what you've said has struck a chord with them.
The feedback. 100% said they would recommend the workshop to others. One suggested I advertise "so more people know where to go to get inspired". Another wrote, "Well organized, structured and presented. I have gained quite a lot despite the many (sic) personal development work I have taken (sic)."
