Where To Find A Notary Public in Wyndham

Note: Hubby reminded me to post this for the benefit of all who might be searching for a Notary Public in the Wyndham area.

A week ago, I was in Watton St for a coffee chat with a business contact and thought I'd pop into the nearest law firm to get an answer to a very specific question...

"Do you have a Notary Public in-house?"

It's a question I would never think to ask in SG, where practically every law firm name is invariably followed by the words "Notary Public" or "Commissioner of Oaths" or both.

The last time I'd had to use the services of a Notary Public, we'd driven all the way to Keilor in pouring rain.

So I thought, with all the law firms in Werribee, there's got to be one that offers notarial services.

So here I was at the reception counter of the first law firm... And there was no one at the counter on a Friday morning.

A sensor chime went off, and a young lady emerged from somewhere back of the office.

I explained what I was looking for, and she said they didn't have a Notary Public in-house, but she was sure one of the other law firms in the area would be able to help.

So I went a few doors down to the next law firm.

The receptionist asked so many detailed questions that I started to have a few questions myself. Then she went into one of the rooms where she had a very long and sotto voce conversation with the occupant within. I began to wonder what it was about notaries public in Wyndham that was so complex. Finally she came out and handed me two sheets of paper. It was a printout from the internet of the list of notaries public in Victoria. Not only that, the lawyer had taken the trouble to cross out the names of those who were retired or deceased.

I thanked the receptionist for her help. What an exceptional service attitude from a professional firm.

That night, hubby Googled "notary public Melbourne" and located a Notary Public not on the official list...and he's right here on our doorstep.

I rang the firm and secured an appointment.

So.

If you live in Wyndham and have need of a Notary Public, here's the good news: there's one on Heaths Road, Hoppers Crossing.

CHARLES MARCUS REICHMANN
277 HEATHS ROAD (BEHIND BENLOR OFFICE)
PH: 9749 4600

He quoted $110 for notarizing the first document and $66 for each of the subsequent two documents.

P.S. Hubby gulped when I told him the quote, and said something like, "Didn't I tell you to go back to Law? You could be the one sitting in an office stamping a couple of documents and you'd be making big bucks."
